Sunday Mornings in Boroughbridge

On Sunday mornings we all get ready for church, sometimes with happy hearts and on time, sometimes running late searching for missing items and really needing prayer and to hear the message of forgiveness in Jesus by the time we manage to get out the door.  Today was somewhere in the middle.

Today the sun was shining as we walked to the room above the library where Grace Church meets, and the temperature was so pleasant I didn't mind having to walk back home for the piano music I forgot on the first journey.

When the meeting is over we walk home past the morning bikers enjoying a spot of tea at Tasty Snacks.

James runs joyfully down the sidewalk, and I yell at him to stop and look for cars at the end of the pavement.  Then he hangs over the side of the bridge crossing the River Tutt, and I always feel like he's hanging his head over too far.

Today we marveled at the sun and the perfect autumn temperatures, and it seemed hard to believe that we'd very soon be watching the sunset at 3:45 in the afternoon.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart;
yet no one can fathom what God has done
from beginning to end.
